Important information relating to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) Dear Master MP Berliner Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) Thank you for choosing to save with the Chorley Building Society. We are required to write to all our savers annually, to provide details of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).   FSCS is the UK’s financial compensation scheme that protects customers of authorised financial services firms if they fail or have stopped trading.   From the 1 December 2025, the FSCS limit for eligible deposits will increase from £85,000 to £120,000.   Details of the Scheme can be found on the FSCS website https://www.fscs.org.uk/ this informs you about the protection of your savings. This is to help you understand the limits of protection and eligibility with the Society.   As a valued Member of our Society, it’s important that you make sure you’re in the best possible account for your savings needs.
