My cat has a scratching post but being a cat and just to "spite" us, lol, he
claws the sofa and love seat arms. We even tried some spray from PetsMart or
someplace like that. Obviously the manufacturer has never owned a cat.

Hi, If you have a cat they will scatch the furniture. Our 2 have scraching
posts but they still scratch...1 does the carpet...another does the carpet
if you love animals as much as i do, you got to expect it! I agree with the
other poster that says if you were to not be there, the cat couldn't hunt..
