[PanicZone] New to the group

 

Hello I am new to this group. I am a 70 year old woman from England and have had panic attacks off and on for a few years now. Normally I can control them up to a point but have had a few real big attacks recently. This is because I have a phobia of hospitals and have had to go for ultrasound, MRI, blood tests and now a surgical procedure a week on Thursday. I had a blood test today and panicked and lost control and ended up crying and feeling embarrassed. I hope I can keep it together when I go to the hospital for the procedure.

The only thing that can happen when I
have a panic attack is that it will pass
whether it passes quickly or slowly
depends whether I drop the idea of it
being dangerous or not.
