Hi Dee,

I'm from NJ too (Somerset Cty) and while I've never personally seen a bear here, I know that they are a problem in some areas around here. Have you talked to the local police or wildlife resources to ask about prevention or how to deal with something should it occur? Maybe that would help you to feel safer.

Did your anxiety/panic start with this fear or do you have anxiety over other things as well?

Subject: [Panic-Attacks] Introduction

Hello,

My name is Dee, I'm a wife and mother of 2 boys. We live in NJ where there are quite a few bears.

I've always had a fear of bears but now it is very intense. We saw a fresh bear print in front of our door. Now I am getting panic attacks and cannot go out by myself. It's a big problem as I have to pick up my son everyday from school.

I'm desperate for help. At present, I'm looking into going back into neurofeedback therapy. It helped the last time. The insurance doesn't cover it so I'll have to see.

Hoping to get to know some of you.

Dee
