Firstly congradulations on your first steps to freedom!!! Well Done!!!
I took Lexapro a few years ago and the only side effects I had were initial dry mouth and upset tummy (for this my doctor recommended I take something like Motilium to be taken about 30 minutes before the Lexapro).

Hello everybody:
I haven't posted in a long time but I always read all the messages and they give me the strength and inspiration to go on with this disorder. I've had anxiety/panic problems and agora since 1993 but became agoraphobic (homebound) since 2005 when my son was born. I've been going through a lot of stress lately because my son was starting PreK3 and because of the economy, etc. To make a long story short, I though I wasn't going to be able to take him to school since I don't drive any longer. Well, this past Monday I had a 2 hr orientation which I attended with my husband and son and then I went everyday until today to drop him off in the morning (5 days in a row when I wasn't even going past my neighbor's house). I am sooooo proud of myself, I did have to take extra xanax to go, but I did it and I am very happy and the school is great and my son loves it. Also I went to my primary doc today and he put me on Laxapro, he told me to start with 5 mg for the
first two weeks and then go up to 10 mg the next two weeks and to tell him how it's going, have any of you taken Lexapro, any side effects that I need to be aware of? He told me I can take it at night and take the ambien with it. I am on Xanax 0.5 mg 3 x a day usually sometimes 4 and then Ambien 10 mg at night and now I'm going to start the Lexapro. Please let me know any and all details and thanks for listening
